For some years now I have been purchasing and reselling left over inventories of Amerock's Carriage House hardware. Switchplates have been the most popular items in the line. When Amerock discontinued them I inquired to see if the tooling was still in their possession .... and would they make some on special order. They had some tooling but did not wish to tie up their production time running an order for me. They did offer to sell me the tooling. As a result I was fortunate enough to be able to purchase Amerock's tooling for the basic Carriage House switch plates. I purchased the tools to make single, double, and triple switch plates, as well as duplex receptacle and double duplex receptacle plates. ( Other tooling was not available ). These switch plates are now manufactured in Minnesota in a factory that does work I consider to be the equivalent of that done by Amerock. They do all of the casting, plating and finishing for me on these items. Other items in the line I purchase where ever I can find them. The GFI plates are cut out of switch plates ........... works very well. GFI cutouts are used for GFI's, "rocker" switches, some dimmer switches, receptacles, phone outlets, and cable outlets. I will provide the appropriate insert or you can purchase the GFI plate and provide your own insert.
